I had such a great experience talking to Dr. Maja. I have been conflicted for a while about bringing my dog to the vet for a small wound that won't heal. The appointments at my vet are just so expensive! I was feeling guilty so I booked with Dr. Maja and I'm glad I did! I have a 9 year old black lab named Molly who just devoured a full rack of cooked baby back ribs that she grabbed off the counter when no one was watching, Yo could tell she wasn't feeling well because she insisted on staying outside thinking she would throw up or need to defecate. Or, she may of felt guilty because she knew she did a bad thing. I made an appointment at 3:30am with PangoVet. Dr Marta promptly called to discuss the issues with swallowing bones. We videoed Molly as Dr. Marta walked me through the process of checking her belly under her rib cage to see if there was any discomfort. I was told to observe her for the next few days to make sure she was digesting properly. So far so good, She seems to be passing the ribs without any difficulty, but it was nice to receive professional advice.

Highly recommended! - I had a problem with my dog because he accidentally ate some chocolate and I didn't know what to do, so I was really worried! What is the price of a PangoVet consultation?

A one-time fee of ~~29.99 USD~~ 19.95 USD covers the full online vet help experience: the cost of the video call, and a comprehensive personalized report after the consultation.

What can I do if I want to send images to the vet from my phone or I don’t know how to upload images in the booking form?

You can always send your images directly to our email account [email protected]. Just remember to write down your name and the name of your pet.

How do I prepare for the PangoVet consultation call?

It’s easy to prepare for your consultation. Just have your device and the Zoom application ready.

You can join the video call from your phone, computer, or tablet.

Please download the free Zoom application before the video call starts. You can download Zoom from their official website at: https://zoom.us/download

When possible, we recommend finding a quiet area without a lot of background noise or distraction. You may choose to have your pet accompany you on all, part, or none of the call, but our vets may request to see them depending on the nature of the call.

How do I join the PangoVet consultation call?

A Zoom link will be sent to your email. Simply click on that Zoom link up to 5 minutes before the appointment starts.

If you don’t already have Zoom installed on your device, the link will ask you to install the free Zoom application.

You can join the PangoVet video call on your mobile, computer, or tablet.

Do I need to have my video on for the consultation?

No, you do not need to use the video feature in your virtual vet consultation. If you prefer, you can use only audio, though we do recommend you use your video for if your pet is present so we can offer you the best, most comprehensive support.

What can I expect during the call?

Our vets will ask you various questions pertaining to your specific concerns stated in your booking form. They will offer advice, or triage, and can help guide you through whatever the next steps are!

Can PangoVet issue prescriptions?

No. Prescribing generally requires an in-person veterinary client-patient relationship, which generally means a vet is in the same country and state as you.

While our service does not currently support prescriptions, our team of vets can guide you through the process of why your pet may or may not need medication, what tests you may want to seek from an in-clinic vet prior to issuing the prescription, and the costs associated with the process. We can even help you find a vet local to you to assist you further!

Should I go to the vet, or should I do a PangoVet teleadvice call?

For questions about your pets health, including advice on nutrition, behavior, training, or general medical advice, we are here to help! We offer peace of mind, and can guide you through the process of how to best help your pet, and the actionable steps you can take to keep them happy and healthy!

But, PangoVet is not a substitute for an in-person veterinary exam. If your pet is experiencing any life-threatening or emergency situation, please contact a local veterinarian.

Do you need to see the medical records of my pet?

No, at PangoVet we don’t need your pet’s medical records to have a video call with you and your pet. The more information you can provide us, the better, but it is not necessary for us to have medical records in order to help you and your pet.

How can PangoVet help my pet?

Our service provides veterinary advice, guidance, and triage. We are well-suited to help with your questions on pet health, nutrition, behavior, and non-urgent illnesses. We have the time to discuss your questions in depth, which cannot always happen during an in-person clinic visit.

We can also help you decide when and how urgently a trip to your vet clinic is necessary. And if needed, we can help you find a local vet, if you don’t already have one.

What services does PangoVet not provide?

Our vets cannot perform physical tests, make a diagnosis, or prescribe medications.

We can provide veterinary advice, guidance, and help you prepare action plans for your pet for health, nutrition, behavioral, and non-urgent illness needs.

What regions is PangoVet not able to provide services to?

At this time we are unfortunately not able to provide PangoVet services to customers in the following regions:

Canadian province of Ontario
Canadian province of British Columbia

This is because of legislation in the above-mentioned regions. We are hoping that they change their legislation soon so that we can provide our services to customers in those regions.

What should I do if I have more than one pet?

We love extended furry families! If you have questions on more than one pet, please book a separate consultation for each pet, so that we have the time to discuss each pet with the individual attention they deserve.

Why do I need to book in advance? Can I do an instant consultation?

We take advance bookings to allow us to best prepare for your consultation, and to best serve as many pets as possible.

We find this also helps pet parents prepare for and find suitable times for their consultations around their own busy schedules. If a time you would like is not listed, it may be due to our veterinarians helping out other pets and their parents.

Please be reminded that if the nature of your call is an emergency, PangoVet is not a substitute for in-clinic veterinary care. If it is an emergency, please contact your vet immediately.

What if I can’t find a slot that suits me? Can I book a consultation at a different time?

Will my PangoVet consultation call be recorded?
