What Pet Parents Are Saying

We cannot thank Dr. Marta enough for all of their support with our dog, and for helping us feel cared for as well in a time of such high stress. We needed after hours support and we live rurally, and were so lucky to have PangoVet. We highly highly recommend their services to any pet parent. Our dog did end up needing to see a vet in the morning and have surgery but it was so helpful to have Dr. Marta walk us through things and help keep us calm. Thank you!

Our appointment was easy and convenient to schedule. Dr. Marta was very thorough and helpful. She created a clear actionable plan for our lab’s weight gain. So much more convenient and less expensive than a vet visit too. Thank you, Dr. Marta!

So nice to find a vet who is actually knowledgeable about pet nutrition! I talked to Dr. Luqman about improving my parrot's diet and he had so much great advice to offer. He even sent me extra information after our call, giving me multiple options to move forward. I would highly recommend him if you're looking for nutrition or diet guidance for your pet!

I recently had a telehealth visit with Dr Maja. My 2 cats were feeling very anxious over 2 cats coming into our yard, onto deck and front door steps. Dr Maja offered sound advice which was very helpful. You knew that she had lots of experience...Additionally, she welcomed me sending any further questions I may have to her email. I would highly recommend this telehealth group for your pet.

I had a session with Dr. Maja Platisa because I was having difficulties with my newly rescued feral cat in getting her to adjust and eat in my home. She reassured me in what behaviors were considered normal and what to watch out for. She gave me practical recommendations to help the cat adjust, and a day later kitty finally came out to eat. It would have been pretty impossible to get advice like this from my regular vet because their office is always busy. PangoVet was a convenient solution and is always available. Would highly recommend!

I had a superlative experience with Dr. Marta. She was knowledgable and patient and answered all my questions. Afterward, she sent me notes so I can make an effective treatment plan. We promised to have a follow-up conversation in two weeks.

Highly recommended! - I had a problem with my dog because he accidentally ate some chocolate and I didn't know what to do, so I was really worried! I managed to book an appointment straight away and got in a call with Dr. Marta. She was very helpful and friendly, she did some calculations and explained that thankfully, my dog wasn't at risk. Thank you for an amazing service, I feel so much better now. I would highly recommend this service to anyone in need of an online vet. Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions

A PangoVet consultation is 20 minutes on a call with a veterinarian. After the consult, you’ll receive a personalized report via email that covers everything you and the vet discussed and any plans of action for you and your pet going forward.
A one-time fee of 85.00 CAD 28.50 CAD covers the cost of the video call, and a personalized report after the experience.

It’s easy to prepare for your consultation. Just have your device ready.

You can join the video call from your phone, computer, or tablet.

When possible, we recommend finding a quiet area without a lot of background noise or distraction. You may choose to have your pet accompany you on all, part, or none of the call, but our vets may request to see them depending on the nature of the call.

Simply click the link we email you! When your appointment starts, your vet will admit you into the private virtual consultation.

PangoVet uses a secure, browser-based video platform – no downloads required!

You can join the PangoVet video call on your mobile, computer, or tablet.

No, you do not need to use the video feature in your virtual vet consultation. If you prefer, you can use only audio, though we do recommend you use your video for if your pet is present so we can offer you the best, most comprehensive support.

Our vets will ask you various questions pertaining to your specific concerns stated in your booking form. They will offer advice, or triage, and can help guide you through whatever the next steps are!

No. Prescribing generally requires an in-person veterinary client-patient relationship, which generally means a vet is in the same country and state as you.

While our service does not currently support prescriptions, our team of vets can guide you through the process of why your pet may or may not need medication, what tests you may want to seek from an in-clinic vet prior to issuing the prescription, and the costs associated with the process. We can even help you find a vet local to you to assist you further!

For questions about your pets health, including advice on nutrition, behavior, training, or general medical advice, we are here to help! We offer peace of mind, and can guide you through the process of how to best help your pet, and the actionable steps you can take to keep them happy and healthy!

But, PangoVet is not a substitute for an in-person veterinary exam. If your pet is experiencing any life-threatening or emergency situation, please contact a local veterinarian.

Our service provides veterinary advice, guidance, and triage. We are well-suited to help with your questions on pet health, nutrition, behavior, and non-urgent illnesses. We have the time to discuss your questions in depth, which cannot always happen during an in-person clinic visit.

We can also help you decide when and how urgently a trip to your vet clinic is necessary. And if needed, we can help you find a local vet, if you don’t already have one.

Our vets cannot perform physical tests, make a diagnosis, or prescribe medications.

We can provide veterinary advice, guidance, and help you prepare action plans for your pet for health, nutrition, behavioral, and non-urgent illness needs.

At this time we are unfortunately unable to provide PangoVet services to customers in the following regions:

British Columbia

Ontario

This is because of legislation in the above-mentioned provinces. We are hoping that they change their legislation soon so that we can provide our services to residents of BC and Ontario.

We take advance bookings to allow us to best prepare for your consultation, and to best serve as many pets as possible.

We find this also helps pet parents prepare for and find suitable times for their consultations around their own busy schedules. If a time you would like is not listed, it may be due to our veterinarians helping out other pets and their parents.

Please be reminded that if the nature of your call is an emergency, PangoVet is not a substitute for in-clinic veterinary care. If it is an emergency, please contact your vet immediately.

Of course. Just email us at [email protected] with your preferred time and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Your call will be recorded for quality and training purposes, and to allow our vets to review your pet’s history, to ensure they can send you the best personalised recommendations possible after the call.
