As of December 2, 2022 —Purina is recalling Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EN Gastroenteric Low Fat prescription wet dog food due to mislabelling.

Cause of This Dog Food Recall

Cans of a different Purina adult dog food were mislabeled as PPVD EN Low Fat in one of the company’s factories.

The mislabeled diet is safe to feed your pet, but this recipe is not intended for dogs that require a prescription Low Fat diet.

What to do Next

Although no pets are in danger from this recall, Purina recommends that pet parents discard any of the affected products, and replace them with their pet’s correct products as quickly as possible.
