PangoVet would like to welcome the newest addition to their growing site: iPetCompanion. With iPetCompanion as part of PangoVet, this website is on the right track to becoming one of the most comprehensive pet-focused online resources available.
What Was iPetCompanion?
iPetCompanion was a small website publishing articles about cats, dogs, and fish. Some of their articles were featured on BBC, Vice, and Veterinary Practice News. This site was geared toward providing information about pet product reviews, breed-specific nutrition information, and behavior analysis. Even though their primary focus was on cats, along with some dog-focused content, they also had a small selection of articles about freshwater fish.
iPetCompanion kept its focus narrow by only publishing articles about “traditional” pets and avoided writing about exotic pets, such as small mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians.
Highlights of iPet Companion
Readers went to iPet Companion primarily for food and nutrition information they could use for their cat or dog. For cats, the most popular posts included the following:
- Food (dry food, high-protein, food for allergies, picky eaters, etc.)
- Behavior (why cats wag their tail, bring you toys, etc.)
iPetCompanion also had a few more cat-related categories and a handful of articles. Topics included:
- Grooming
- Accessories
- Training
- Health
For dogs, there were fewer topics, primarily about food and behavior. The food section mostly had articles about what a dog can eat and whether the food could harm them.
Changes for iPet Companion’s Content
PangoVet strives to produce the best content available to ensure readers that they have the most up-to-date and researched information about their pets. iPetCompanion’s articles do not seem to be approved by veterinarians. This can be difficult for such a small company; however, PangoVet is fortunate to have a solid team of vet writers and editors who can verify any health or behavioral claims. Having vet-approved articles gives readers some peace knowing that the information they are reading is factual and science-based.
PangoVet is excited to have iPetCompanion as part of its site!
